We have both three and four-year-old classes. We follow the recommendations set forth by the National Organization for the Education of Young Children and maintain the following teacher /student ratios: Three-year-old classes -1 to 7 and four and five- year-old classes -1 to9. We feel that these ratios help to create an environment that is best suited to the needs of young children. Our Pre-K class is designed for the mature four-year-old child and those of kindergarten age who may not be ready for the structured environment that formal schooling requires. This class meets for two and one half hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The class is available to children who are 5 by April 1. The Parent /Toddler class was introduced to ease the transition from home to school for two-year-olds and young three-year-olds. Parents will receive guidance and information concerning their toddler. Children and parents attend this class together and grow together as they explore the materials and experiences of the preschool classroom. This class is available to children who are 2 by November 30. Baby-sitting is available for participants in the Parent /Toddler program for a small fee.
