Cathy Welner The paintings of Cathy Welner now hang in our Gathering Room gallery. Richfield resident Cathy Welner has been painting and teaching watercolor for over 28 years. She works in a sensitive, painterly fashion, allowing the flow of pigment and brush to evoke a mood and transcend photographic realism. Cathy was born in Syracuse, NY, and received a degree in education from the State University of New York at Cortland. She has served on the faculty of Continuing Education at the Cleveland Institute of Art and has taught workshops nationally and internationally. Her work has been selected for many juried exhibitions and is found in galleries in New York, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts and Ohio and hangs is hundreds of private and corporate collections. Cathy is a signature member of the Ohio Watercolor Society and an associate member of the American Watercolor Society. The Serenity Prayer God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; Courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen -Reinhold Niebuhr
Keep
them in your prayers
