Gathering Room Gallery Exhibit March 2010 Richard Willett A primarily self-taught artist, Dick began painting almost forty years ago when he received a small set of black and white pastel sticks and an instruction book as a gift. He soon began making frequent trips to the library to learn more and more about painting techniques. As time passed, work and family obligations began to push his pastime further into the background. Retirement about five years ago finally provided the free time to revisit his old love. He began to devote more time to painting by taking classes and workshops in watercolor and pastel with area artists Sally Heston, Judith Carducci, and Ken Kirkland. Dick enjoys painting a wide range of subject matter. He enjoys sharing his gift with others, and his only artistic goal is continual improvement.Exhibits: MD Garage art gallery Cuyahoga Valley Art Center Trumbull County Art Center Bath Church Epiphany Show The artwork of Richard Willett will be featured in the Gathering Room Gallery from February 15 until March 31.There will be a Meet the Artist Reception on March 14 after the 10:15 service in the Gathering Room.

The Serenity Prayer God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; Courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen -Reinhold Niebuhr
Keep
them in your prayers
